Meet the Support Team! Here we present the invaluable backup crew to our three peaks walk. Don’t forget that when you’re roaming all over the three peaks in the glorious sunshine the support team is making sure that the event is running well and holding together. Bus driving, water handouts, sock changes, plaster applications... they’ve seen and done the lot. Whilst the walkers are slogging it out over the hills this reliable team are making sure the checkpoints are set up, all the clobber that’s been left behind is safely collected, (and later distributed to it’s rightful owners) and the litter is cleared away. They’ll also provide the occasional pick-me-up talk to the walkers who are ‘out on their knees’.
Normally only seen in their walking boots and ‘support team’ gear, we’ve decided to present the team here in their ‘civvies’. And we have to hand it to them ... we think they scrub up rather well!
Meet the team organisers who bring you the walk, the information, the pictures, the words, collect all the sponsorship cash, and do just about anything else we can think of, within reason ... !
